  • diced onion- 1
  • sliced carrot- 1
  • vegetable broth- 4 cups
  • dry lentils- 1 cup
  • pepper- ¼ tsp
  • dried thyme- ¼ tsp
  • bay leaves- 2
  • salt to taste
  • lemon juice- 1 tbsp

How To Make Lentil Soup

  • Take a pot and sauté the carrots and onions.
  • Pour in the vegetable broth. Add lentils, thyme, bay leaves, pepper, and salt.
  • Let it simmer. Cook the lentils for 45 minutes with the cover on. Take out the bay leaves and mix in the lemon juice before serving.
