Ingredients For Cream Tomato Soup

  • chopped tomatoes- 4 cups
  • bayleaf- 1
  • whole peppercorns- 2 to 3
  • refined flour- 1 tbsp
  • butter- 1 ½ tbsp
  • tomato puree- ¼ cup
  • sugar- 1 tsp
  • cream-1 ½ tbsp
  • salt as needed
  • pepper, freshly ground- ¼ tsp

How To Make Cream Tomato Soup

  • Take a pan and put in tomatoes, peppercorns and bay leaf with a cup of boiling water.
  • Let it simmer for ten minutes or till the tomatoes are soft.
  • Once done take out the bay leaf and let the mixture cool down before pureeing it. Set is aside.
  • Take another pan and heat butter. Add in the refined flout and let it cook over low heat for a minute.
  • Slowly add 1 cup of water while stirring continuously. Make sure there are no lumps.
  • Add in the pureed mixture, salt, sugar, tomato puree, pepper and let it boil.
  • Mix in the cream.
  • Garnish with fresh cream and serve it hot with croutons.
