Ingredients For Chana Palak Curry

  • Chickpeas- 1 can
  • Oil- 1 tbsp
  • finely chopped onion- 1
  • blanched, peeled and diced tomatoes- 3
  • chopped spinach-  4 cups
  • minced garlic- 2 cloves
  • grated ginger- 1 inch
  • chopped green chilies-2
  • tumeric powder- ½ tsp
  • coriander powder- 2 tsp
  • garam Masala- ½ tsp
  • Salt as required
  • chopped coriander leaves- 1 tbsp

Chana Palak Curry

How To Make Chana Palak Curry

  • Heat oil in a pan and fry onions till they turn golden brown. Add tomatoes, ginger, garlic and chilies. Let it cook for 6-7 minutes and then grind into a paste.
  • Put in turmeric, cumin powder and coriander powder. Cook while stirring for 3 minutes.
  • Add in the spinach and cook till it is done.
  • Stir in the chickpeas and cook for 10 more minutes.
  •  Sprinkle garam masala and coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with paranthas or chapattis.
