Ingredients for Makhana Kheer

  • Makhanas - 2 cup
  • Ghee or Butter - 2 tbsp
  • Milk - 1 litre
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Almond - 2 tbsp
  • Cashew Nuts - 2 tbsp
  • Pistachios - 1 tbsp
  • Crushed Cardamom - 3

How to make Makhana Kheer

  1. Take a pan and heat ghee in it.
  2. Cut makhanas and fry them in ghee for 5-6 minutes.
  3. After that add milk and sugar in it and stir it well, allow simmering for about 45 minutes, until milk condoles half and of a creamy consistency, stir it continuously.
  4. Add small pieces of almonds, cashew and pistachios and cook for 8 minutes and spread cardamom powder.
  5. Serve it either hot or cold.
