Ingredients for Kesar Bati

For The Gulab Jamuns

  • Khoya-250 grams
  • Floumr aida-5 tbsp
  • Cardamom -1/4 tsp

For The Filling

  • Chopped pistachios and almonds -1/4 cup each
  • Sugar-1 tbsp
  • A few saffron strands
  • Cardamom powder-1/4 tsp
  • Ghee for deep-frying

For The Sugar Syrup

  • Sugar-3 cups
  • A few saffron strands

Kesar Bati

For The Sugar Syrup

  • Make the syrup by completely mixing the sugar in the hot water.
  •  If required, add the saffron.

For Yhe Gulab Jamuns

  • Mix all the given ingredients and form dough.
  • Make equal portions of the dough say 15.
  • Use one part for the ingredients and keep rest portions as it is.
  • Roll out the dough portions into balls with some filling in the centre.
  • Do some for all the portions.
  • Fry them in ghee over a slow flame until they turn brown.
  • Drain it over a tissue paper and transfer into the warm sugar syrup.
  • Keep them there for about 20 minutes.
