Ingredients for Fruit Kheer

  • Carrots-1 kg
  • Milk-1 litre
  • Cardamom Seeds -1 teaspoon
  • Water -3/4 cup
  • Ghee-3 tablespoons
  • Raisins-1 to 2 tablespoons
  • Almonds-1 to 2 tablespoons
  • Pistachios-1 to 2 tablespoons
  • Sugar –half kg

Gajar Ka Halwa

How to make Gajar Ka Halwa

  • Grate the carrots.
  • Put some raisins in water for 30 to 35 minutes.
  • Now chop the nuts.
  • Put the water to boil, as soon as it starts boiling add the carrots to it. Cook for about 10 minutes.
  • Now add milk to the carrots. Cook it for about an hour while stirring occasionally.
  • Now add sugar to the mixture and cook it well till the whole milk get disappeared.
  • Then, add ghee, crushed cardamoms and the raisins. Mix well.
  • Gajar ka halwa is ready to be served. Serve it with garnishing of almonds and pistachios.
