It is a very popular, spicy and tasty dish of Goa which is well served with rice. To prepare this recipe you can use any kind of fish with White flesh but it tastes really good if prepared with Tuna fish.

Ingredients For Goan Fish Curry

  • Tamarind-One lemon size
  • ginger paste-2 tablespoon
  • malt vinegar-1 tablespoon
  • pomfret fish-two
  • coconut scraped-half cup
  • Whole red chillies- six
  • Oil-2 tablespoon
  • green chillies-two
  • coriander seeds-2 tablespoon
  • tomato-one small
  • garlic paste-2 teaspoon
  • cumin seeds-2 teaspoon
  • Add salt according to taste
  • Onion-one small

How To Make Goan Fish Curry

  • Firstly clean the fish properly and divide it into five to six equal pieces.
  • Now make some pieces of tomatoes and onions and then split some green chillies to half.
  • Now after that start roasting coriander seeds, whole red chillies and cumin seeds.
  • Prepare a fine paste type mixture of the roasted spices along with ginger and garlic paste, malt vinegar and scraped coconut.
  • Now start heating some oil in frying pan and then put some onions in it and do this until it becomes golden brown in color.
  • Then add some properly sliced tomatoes and green chillies in it and fry it on a medium flame for about 3mins.
  • Now stir it uniformly and add the prepared paste in this mixture and then add half cup of water in it.
  • Now start boiling it.
  • Add some salt and fish pieces in this mixture and stir fry it on low flame for round about 5mins.
  • Now the dish is prepared and can be served hot with steamed rice.
