Ingredients For Fried Fish with Tamarind Sauce

  • White fish - 2 lb
  • Salt- 1 teaspoon
  • Ground turmeric - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Peanut Oil – frying
  • Finely chopped Garlic - 1/2 tablespoon
  • Tamarind Liquid - 1/4 cup
  • Fish or Soy sauce – for taste
  • Palm Sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Chili Paste - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Thinly sliced Green Onions - 3 tablespoon
  • Leaves of Coriander - 2 tablespoon

How To Make Fried Fish with Tamarind Sauce

  • In a bowl mix pepper, turmeric, and salt. Marinate the white fish with this mixture.
  • Take a skillet and put some oil into it. Heat it up. Add marinated fish into it.
  • Cook the fish until it’s both sides turns to golden brown.
  • Drain out the fried fish. Now in the same oil add finely chopped garlic and fry till it turns into brown in color.
  • Add soya sauce, palm sugar, fish sauce, chili paste, and tamarind liquid to the above mixture. Let it boil.
  • Now add fried fish and reduce the flame to low and cook until the sauce becomes thick.
  • Again add finely chopped green onions and cook for 1 more minute.
  • Fried Fish with tamarind Sauce is ready to serve. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
