Ingredients for Spicy Carrot Chutney

  • Carrot- ½ kg
  • Red chili pepper- 15 gm
  • fresh Ginger- 30 gm
  • Garlic- 2 cloves
  • blanched Almonds-  8
  • Raisins- 60 grams
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar- 360 grams
  • crushed Cardamoms- ¾ tsp
  • Vinegar- 1 ½ cups
  • Water- 1 cup

How to make Spicy Carrot Chutney

  • Carrots need to be washed and scraped before being grated. Also cut up garlic and ginger into long strips.
  • Now take a pan and boil water in it. Put in grated carrot, ginger and garlic and let it all simmer on slow flames. Keep stirring till water has evaporated.
  • Add sugar, vinegar, salt, almonds, raisins, crushed cardamoms and cook it for a minute or two.
  • Now take it out in a clean jar and put on the lid. It should be ready for serving in 2 days
