Ingredients For Pumpkin Chutney

  • Pumpkin- 250 gm
  • Vinegar-  1 cup
  • Water- 1 ½ cups
  • Red chili pepper- ½ tsp
  • Cardamoms- 2 big
  • Sugar- 1 ½ cups
  • long strips of Ginger-  2 tsp
  • chopped Garlic- 2 cloves
  • Raisins-  4 tsp
  • blanched Almonds- 6
  • stoned Dates- 8
  • salt to taste

How To Make Pumpkin Chutney

  • Peel off the skin of pumpkin and then grate it.
  • Boil water in a cooking pot and add ginger, garlic, dates and grated pumpkin in it.
  • Cook for a while and then add sugar, vinegar, salt, almonds, red chili pepper and raisins.
  • Let it simmer till it becomes thick and has obtained a golden brown color.
  • Pumpkin chutney is ready. Pour it into bottles or airtight jars for later use.
