This is very tasty sweet and sour chutney which goes extremely well as along with a lot of curries and recipes of lamb, chicken and pork etc.

Ingredients For Apple Mango Chutney

  • peeled and sliced raw Mangoes- 250 gm
  • peeled and sliced Apples- 250 gm
  • crushed cardamoms- 2 big nos
  • Vinegar - 1 cup 
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Red chili pepper- ½  tsp
  • Sugar- 1 ¾ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Garlic- 4 cloves
  • long snips of Ginger-  1 tsp
  • Raisins-  4 tsp
  • blanched Almonds-  8

Apple Mango Chutney

How To Make Apple Mango Chutney

  • Take a heavy bottom pan and pour water in it. Now drop mango, apples, garlic and ginger into pan and cook them together.
  • Now put in almonds, sugar, red chili powder, raisins and cardamoms. Keep cooking till the chutney gets a thick consistency.
  • Once done let it cool down and place it into a bowl for serving. You can also put into a jar for preserving.
