Ingredients for Yogurt Chicken

  • Skinless, boneless chicken breasts-4
  • Plain low-fat yogurt-1 (6 ounce) container
  • 1 juicy lemon
  • Dried  seasoned bread crumbs-1 cup
  • Garlic powder-1/2 teaspoon
  • Add salt according to taste
  • Butter-1/4 cup
  • Chopped fresh parsley-1 tablespoon

How to make Yogurt Chicken

  • The oven should be heated in advance oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Now put yogurt in a small bowl and stir it till it becomes creamy smooth and then add lemon in the mixture and stir them together. Stir yogurt first otherwise lemon juice will make it sour.
  • Now take a separate hollow bowl and mix garlic powder, bread crumbs in it and add salt according to taste and mix all of them together.
  • Now take a 9x13 inch baking dish and put 1 close tap of butter or margarine for every chicken breast.
  • Wash chicken breasts and tap dry them and submerse each breast in the yogurt mixture/lemon and then in the bread crumb mixture (fully coated).
  • Finally put this coated chicken in the baking bowl and top each and every breast with a full tap of margarine or butter.
  •  Spread with chopped parsley and then bake it in the already heated oven for about 1 hour.
  •  Allow it to cool for 5 to 10mins and then serve it.

Some Useful Tips

  • Use green chilies according to your taste.
  • Chicken pieces can be seasoned using butter and can be cooked in a pre-heated oven.
