Brief Description

The shape of Chicken breasts makes it ideal for stuffing.  Stuffing the chicken breast can be done in 2 ways. First is to divide a pocket in the thick portion of the meat and other is to flatten the chicken by pounding it and rolling it around the stuffing portion. The stuffing for the chicken breasts can be done with a various no of fillings like mushrooms, cheese, bacon, spinach and more.

Ingredients for Stuffed Chicken Breasts

  • Boneless chicken breast halves-6
  • Vegetable oil-1 tbsp
  • Butter- 1 tbsp
  • Sliced onion- 1 medium
  • Sliced mushrooms-4 ounces
  • Thinly sliced celery- 1rib
  • 1  beaten egg
  • Chopped fresh parsley-1 tbsp
  • Finely dried breadcrumbs- 2tbsp
  • Grated parmesan cheese- 2 tsp
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese-3/4 cup
  • Add salt and pepper
  • Condensed tomato soup-1 can (10 1/2 ounces)  
  • 1/2 cup Water-1/2 cup
  • Crumbled leaf basil-1/2 teaspoon

How to make Stuffed Chicken Breasts

  • Firstly put some chicken pieces in between sheets of plastic wax and smoothly pound it with a meat mallet to flatten it and make sure you don’t tear it.
  • Now take a large skillet and heat some butter and vegetable oil in it and cook celery, mushrooms and onion slices in it till it gets tendered.
  • Now add mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, parsley, bread crumbs and egg in it and stir it properly and mix it well.
  • Now salt and pepper should be sprinkled on chicken breasts and do the stuffing with equal portions of the filling mixture.
  • Now start rolling them and secure it using toothpicks.
  •  Align chicken breasts in a hollow 3-quart baking dish and scooping all the extra filling around chicken rolls.
  • Now mix ½ cup water in soup and now pour it over chicken.
  • Finally bake it at 350° and season it occasionally with sauce available in the baking dish for about 55mins to 1hr.
  • Clear all the toothpicks and it can be served well with rice or potatoes. .
