Pineapple chicken recipe is basically the combination of fried chicken with pineapple and in which bell peppers in a sweet and sour sauce.

Ingredients for Pineapple Chicken
- Boneless chicken (divided into small pieces)-1 kg
- Crushed pineapple with juice-1 can (8 Onces)
- Red chili powder-1 tbsp
- Ginger paste-1/2 tsp
- Garlic paste-1/2 tsp
- White vinegar-1 tbsp
- Mustard paste-1 tbsp
- Capsicum-1 medium size
- Chopped onion-1
- Soy sauce-1 tbsp
- Butter-2 tbsp
- Fresh cream-2 tbsp
- Black pepper powder-1 tsp
- Chopped tomatoes-2
- Add Salt according to taste
- Oil-1/2 cup
How to make Pineapple Chicken
- Firstly heat some oil in a pan and add onions in it and then saute it for about 1 to 2 minutes
- Now add black pepper powder, garlic paste, ginger paste, salt, soy sauce, chicken pieces, mustard paste and vinegar in it and start cooking it and do this until the chicken is completely tendered and becomes soft.
- Take another pan and heat butter in it and then add sliced capsicum, pineapple juice, chopped tomatoes, red chili powder in it and cook it for about 4 to 5 minutes.
- Now add the pineapple chunks in the prepared mixture and simmer it till the sauce becomes thick and stir it continuously till we get a smooth and even texture.
- Now put some pineapple sauce over the cooked chicken gravy and add some fresh cream on it and mix it well and then cook it for about 2 to 3 minutes and finally remove it from heat.
- Tasty Pineapple Chicken is prepared and ready to serve.
- You can serve it hot with chapatti or rice.
Some Useful Tips
- If you are thinking of preparing garlic, fresh chilli and ginger pastes at home, then make sure you add tablespoon of canola/hot vegetable/ sunflower cooking oil to the paste and mix it well this will ensure a longer life for the paste prepared. Refrigerate and use it as per your requirement.
