Ingredients for Kashuiru Kukad

  • Mohi flower juice- 3 tsp
  • Chicken- 4 pieces
  • Kasoori methi- 2 tsp
  • Ground tamarind- 1 tsp
  • Cloves- 1 tsp
  • Ladles mustard oil-3 tbsp
  • Cinnamon sticks- 2
  • Black cardamom- 4
  • Salt as needed
  • Bay leaves- 2
  • Ground ginger- 1 tsp
  • Chili powder- 1 tsp
  • Ginger- garlic paste- 1 tsp

How to make Kashuiru Kukad

  • Heat up the mustard oil in a pan.
  • Drop in the chicken and cook for 15 minutes.
  • Take out the chicken from the pan and drop in ginger- garlic paste, tamarind, chili powder, cardamom, bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, and ground ginger and kasoori methi. Stir fry them all.
  • Put chicken back into the pan.
  • Pour in the mohi juice and let it all simmer for 5 minutes, covered.

Some Useful Tips

    To make sure your homemade chili, garlic and ginger paste stays fresh for long add a tbsp of hot vegetable/ sunflower/ canola oil into it and mix well. Keep them in refrigerator and use when necessary.
