Ingredients for Ham And Chicken Rolls

  • Whole chicken breasts- 2
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper- ¼ tsp
  • Five spice powder- ¼ tsp
  • Garlic powder- 1/8  tsp
  • Cooked ham, sliced- 4
  • Beaten egg- 1
  • Milk- 2 tbsp
  • All purpose flour- 2 cups
  • Sprain roll or egg roll wrappers- 4
  • Vegetable oil- 3 cups
  • Cabbage, shredded

How to make Ham And Chicken Rolls

  • Remove the skin from chicken breasts and cut them in half. Pound it to an even thin shape.
  • Take a small bowl and mix pepper, five spice powder, salt and garlic powder in it. Sprinkle this mixture evenly on the chicken pieces.
  • Roll each ham slice and place them on the chicken pieces. Then roll chicken around the ham, sealing it in.
  • Take small dish and mix egg and milk in it. Roll each chicken roll into flour and then dip into egg- milk mixture. Place each piece on a egg roll wrapper or spring roll wrapper and secure it nicely. Brush the end corners of each roll with egg- milk mixture and seal them by pinching.
  • Heat oil in a wok and deep fry the rolls for 5 minute or till they are done. Take out on paper towels to soak up excess oil.
  • Cut into diagonal slices and serve cabbage along with it

Some Useful Tips

    To make sure your homemade chili, garlic and ginger paste stays fresh for long add a tbsp of hot vegetable/ sunflower/ canola oil into it and mix well. Keep them in refrigerator and use when necessary.
