Ingredients for Grilled Honey Chilli Wings

  • Low sodium soy sauce- ½ cup
  • Minced ginger- 1 tbsp
  • Minced garlic- 1
  • Asian garlic chili sauce- 1 ½ tbsp
  • Honey- ½ cup
  • Hoisin sauce- 1 ½ cup
  • Sesame seeds, toasted- 1 tbsp
  • Chopped green onions- 1
  • Chicken wings, separated and tips removed- 2 pound

How to make Grilled Honey Chilli Wings

  • Set up the grill at 350-400° F for indirect grilling.
  • Make the sauce by mixing ginger, garlic, soy sauce, garlic chili sauce, hoisin sauce and honey in a small bowl.
  • Make sure grill is using indirect heat before placing chicken on it.
  • Flip the chicken after 5 minutes and grill for another 5 minutes.
  • Take off the wings from the grill and put I in the sauce and make sure it is coated completely in sauce.
  • Put the wings back on the grill and grill again on both sides for 5 minutes each.
  • Take them off the grill and sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.

Some Useful Tips

    To make sure your homemade chili, garlic and ginger paste stays fresh for long add a tbsp of hot vegetable/ sunflower/ canola oil into it and mix well. Keep them in refrigerator and use when necessary.
