Ingredients for Dum Ka Murgh

  • Whole chicken- 1
  • Finely chopped onions- 4
  • Green chilies- 4
  • Grated coconut- 4 tbsp
  • Khus khus seeds- 2 tbsp
  • Ginger- garlic paste- 2 tbsp
  • Cardamom- 5
  • Curd- 1 cup
  • Finely chopped cilantro leaves- 1 sprig
  • Oil- 4 tbsp
  • Chili powder- 1tbsp
  • Turmeric powder- 1 tbsp
  • Salt as needed

How to make Dum Ka Murgh

  • Wash and clean the chicken and remove everything from inside.
  • Mix onions and other spices into a fine paste.
  • Marinate the chicken with this paste.
  • Take baking dish and grease it with oil. Then place the chicken on it.
  • Cook it at high for 10 minutes in microwave. Then lower it to medium and cook for another 10 minutes
  • Garnish it with cilantro and serve hot.

Some Useful Tips

    To make sure your homemade chili, garlic and ginger paste stays fresh for long add a tbsp of hot vegetable/ sunflower/ canola oil into it and mix well. Keep them in refrigerator and use when necessary.
