Brief Description

Chicken Spring rolls recipe is a good appetizer when you have any party at your home. It is prepared with vegetables mix and some chicken juliennes. It is cooked in a Chinese style. These are flaky and crispy.

Ingredients for Chicken Spring Rolls

  • 1 - Egg
  • 1 teaspoon - Soya sauce
  • 200 gms – pieces of Cooked chicken
  • ½ cup of corn flour
  • 1 cup - Plain flour
  • Chopped Spring onions - 2
  • Peanut oil as needed
  • 100 gms - Cabbage
  • Oil as per requirement
  • Salt as needed.

How to make Chicken Spring Rolls

  • Make tiny pieces of cabbage. Cook in a boiling water for about 2 minutes.
  • Take 1 tablespoon of oil in a sauce pan, put chopped onions into it and fry. Now add the pieces of chicken into it and chopped cabbage also.
  • Add soya sauce, salt, and 1 teaspoon of corn flour also. Stir it well and set aside for about few minutes.
  • Now by using wooden spatula, mix plain flour, egg, salt, and ½ cup of corn flour. Make a smooth batter.
  • Add 3-4 cups of water and grate it properly.
  • Now put 1 teaspoon of peanut oil in a sauce pan. Pour the batter into the pan. Make a thin layer of it and cook from one side only.
  • Now place the filling in the middle of the cooked portion of the batter, make a roll of it and fold its sides towards in.
  • Now put a coat of cornflour paste to the edges of the roll and then shallow fry it in hot oil.

Some Useful Tips

  • You can use pancake also instead of making batter.
  • Put 2 tablespoon of the filling in the middle of the pancake, make a roll of it, and then cook it.
  • Turn the ends of the roll towards in and seal it by applying a coat of cornflour paste.
  • Now shallow fry these rolls in oil over medium heat.
  • Serve immediately with chutney or sauce.
