Chicken Sherry-Apricots is unique and tasty Chicken recipe. It is generally made with bread crumbs, apricot, butter, and chicken breasts.

Ingredients for Chicken Sherry-Apricots

  • Chicken legs or chicken breasts - 4
  • Dried apricots - 150 g
  • Onions - 3
  • Sherry - 250 ml
  • Pepper – 2 tbsp  
  • Butter - 75 gm
  • Oil – 1 tbsp  
  • Starch flour and salt

How to make Chicken Sherry-Apricots

  • In sherry soak pepper and dried apricot for about 4 hours.  
  • Preheat the oven to 225°C. Melt oil with butter in the baking tin.
  • Apply salt to the chicken and bake the chicken in the melted butter for about 20 minutes.
  • Finely chopped onions add soaked apricot and chopped onions to the chicken and bake for about 20 minutes. 
  • Now mix the remaining sherry with water up to 250 ml and add starch flour to make it thick.
  • Garnish the baked chicken with onions and apricot. Pour sherry sauce over it.
  • Serve it with curry rice.

Some Useful Tips

  • One can increase or decrease the quantity of green chilies into the chicken according to your taste.
  • The chicken can be greased with butter and can be cooked in an oven instead of following the above process.
