  • Cashew nuts- 500 gm
  • Sugar- 300 gm
  • Saffron- 1/2 tsp
  • Orange Color- 1/4 tsp
  • Eatable silver foil- 2

How To Make Kesar Kaju Barfi

  • Cashews need to be soaked in water for 3 hours beforehand.
  • Completely drain cashews of the water and grind them finely.
  • In a pan, mix sugar and cashew nuts, and roast on low heat, stirring constantly. Take a pan, mix cashew nuts paste and sugar in it while constantly stirring on low flames.
  • Put in saffron and orange color and mix well till the mixture gets a good color.
  • Take the pan off the flames.
  • Place butter paper on an even surface and pour over the mixture on it. Cover it with another butter paper and gently roll out with a rolling pin.
  • Take off the butter paper from the top and place sliver foil on it.
  • Cut the barfi into diamond shaped pieces and serve.
