Location

The headquarters of the police is located at Itanagar.

The police-training centre is located at near the border of Assam that can be reached through NH052. It is at distance of 30 km from Itanagar and spread over an area of 173.63 acres.

The organizational chart of Arunachal Pradesh is a tree like hierarchy with DGP at the top. Under the DGP is IGP; under IGP are four DIGPs of different police zone – DIGP (HQ), DIGP (East), DIGP (West), and DIGP (Central).

The eligibility for the various posts that are advertized under Arunachal Pradesh police cadre are fore mentioned:

  • Sub-Inspector (Telecommunication)
  • Age: The candidate should be within 20 to 26 years of age. The age limit is relaxed in case of scheduled tribes or other categories as mentioned under the Govt. of India curricular.
  • Qualification: The candidate should hold Diploma (1st Class) in Telecommunication/Radio Engineering and should have at least two years experience in communication, or, should have Bachelor degree in Science from a recognized University. Applicants who have taken Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics will be preferred.
  • Physical Status: Height of General candidates should be 5'.5", Height of Arunachal Pradesh Tribal Candidate should be 5'.3" (except Tirap and Changlang). Chest for non-tribal and tribal people should be 33" when expanded, 31" when normal.
  • Pay Scale: PB-2, Rs. 9300-34800 + GP 4200
  • Sub-Inspector-
  • Age: The candidate should be less than 20 years and more than to 23 years of age.
  • Qualification: The candidate should hold Bachelors degree in Commerce, Science, or Arts from a recognized University. Higher Secondary Leaving Certificate Higher will be suffix for AP tribal.
  • Physical Status: Height of General candidates should be 5'.5", Height of Arunachal Pradesh Tribal Candidate should be 5'.3". Chest for non-tribal and tribal people should be 33" when expanded, 31" when normal.
  • PB-2, Rs. 9300-34800 + GP 4200
  • Constable –
  • Age: The candidate should be less than 17 years and more than to 21 years of age.
  • Qualification: Senior Secondary Leaving Certificate for general candidates is required. Class 8th is required for AP tribal.
  • Physical Status: Height of General candidates should be 5'.5",  Height of Arunachal Pradesh Tribal Candidate should be 5'.3". Chest for non-tribal and tribal people should be 33" when expanded, 31" when normal.
  • PB-1, Rs. 5200-20200 + GP 2000 P.M
  • Head Constable (Telecom) –
  • Age: The candidate should be less than 18 years and more than to 28 years of age. Age limit is relaxed to 33 years for APST tribal.
  • Qualification: Higher Secondary Leaving Certificate (Class 12th ) with Physics, chemistry for general candidates is required. Class 8th with Physics, chemistry is required for AP tribal.
  • Physical Status: Height of General candidates should be 5'.5",  Height of Arunachal Pradesh Tribal Candidate should be 5'.3" (except Tirap and Changlang for whom the height should be 5'.1"). Chest for non-tribal and tribal people should be 33" when expanded, 31" when normal.
